Welcome to the Largest Staged Combat Certification workshop in Canada!!!
The Fight Directors Canada (FDC) National Staged Combat Intensive is the oldest and largest workshop of its kind in Canada and offers some of the highest and most comprehensive training with some of the most notable names in the industry.
FDC Certification is recognized by industry leaders, professional unions and all sister organizations around the world. The FDC Nationals are also the only Workshop Intensives anywhere in Canada that offer training and certification testing at the Advanced, Instructor and Fight Director Levels.
Fight Directors Canada is the only internationally recognized organization in Canada, teaching safe and dramatic combat since 1993.
Who needs this training?
Anyone who is, or wants to be, a professional actor, director, stage manager, opera singer, ballet dancer, drama teacher, coach, stunt performer, etc… should have the skills taught in the FDC Basic Certification Course to be prepared for the necessary action requirements of these jobs. Everything from simple falls, slaps, scuffles, brawls, guns and sword fights are all part of the daily requirements of a professional working performer and we will make sure you are prepared. If you are already in, or looking to start, a career in action entertainment as a stunt actor, performer, double, coordinator or even as an action star you need everything we’ve got and we’ve got a lot; five levels of training taking you from Novice through to Advanced Actor-Combatant, and on to Instructor, then Fight Director.
